What is a Family Advocacy Consultant?
Erica Bonner, Founder
Hello, my name is Erica Bonner, and I am the founder of M&M Family Support and Advocacy LLC.
I started this organization because I know firsthand the challenges that come with raising children with disabilities. My oldest daughter is deaf, autistic, and has multiple disabilities and my youngest daughter is autistic. Along our journey, I've experienced the confusion, the paperwork, the appointments, the school meetings, and the overwhelming feeling of trying to figure everything out alone all while being a teacher myself and a single mother.
As I learned to navigate these systems, I realized that many families are facing the same challenges without knowing where to turn. That's why I created M&M Family Support and Advocacy LLC.
Our mission is to empower families by providing guidance, support, education, and resources to help them advocate for their children with confidence. We believe every family deserves someone who will listen, encourage them, and help them understand the services and opportunities available to their child.

Educational Advocacy Services
We help families navigate through new diagnosis for their child or children. We provide resources throughout the community as well as guide them through support groups and monthly check ins. We also help create family support plans based solely on the families needs.
We help with school communications bewteen the families and schools, accomodation reaquest, reassurance applications, and organization of records. We help make things easier for you to find and to understand.
We help families getting resources for the children through the school systems. From IFSPs and IEPs, we provide guidance through the whole process so parents understand and we advocate for the families and children for what they deserve and need.
Workshops and Trainings
We provide workshops and trainings for families, parents, childcare centers, and etc. We share knowledge and encouragement to those who are apart of the special education community in any way.
